Objectives of the Department

Implementation of NMC curriculum at MAMC in different phase.

To train faculty members of MAMC in : Medical Education Technologies

Implementing Core curriculum required for undergraduate teaching

Scholarship in the field of Medical Education

To train Senior Residents in Medical Education Technologies

To train faculty of 21 colleges affiliated to this RC in BCME as per NMC requirements

History

The department was established in 1987

As the part of 04 centres (JIPMER Pondicherry, BHU Varanasi, PGI Chandigarh and MAMC) of National Teachers Training Program activity initiated by Ministry of
Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India, in association with WHO.

The Department has been running NTTC courses since 1987 and successfully conducted 71 NTTC workshops in Educational Science Technology of 10 days duration.
