Maulana Azad Medical College 
The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology trains 250 undergraduate and 20 postgraduate students per year under affiliation to Delhi University. It also runs two superspeciality fellowship programmesof National Board of Examination [FNB]-High Risk Pregnancy Perinatology [2 seats] and Reproductive medicine [3 seats]. In addition it also provides tertiary level patient care including special services of IVF and Fetal Medicine.
The department is headed by DrAsmitaMuthalRathore MD, FRCOG [UK],PG Diploma in Hospital and Health Management [PGDHHM],Director Professor who has special interest in Maternal Fetal Medicine and is Programme coordinator for FNB in High Risk Pregnancy and Perinatology.
The departmental faculty are part of many national international research projects and has many publications in national and international journals.
The department conducts many CMEs and brings out one book every year on topic of clinical importance. It also actively participates in activities of professional bodies like FOGSi, RCOG, NARCHI etc.
