First Centre to start a Human Cadaver Laparoscopic Surgery Training Centre. First Centre to have a High Quality 10 station Microsurgery Laboratory. First Medical College in the country to have a clinical Skills Centre providing both medical and surgical skills including life support techniques. First College to make surgical and life support skills compulsory before MBBS completion and patient contact during internship.

The Centre trained 491 doctors, 309 nurses and 17 para-medical workers for Commonwealth Games 2010 who were responsible for health centres and mobile stations. 425 paramedical and allied health care workers were trained from CATS for deployment in the Delhi CATS Ambulances. Additionally 6 para-medical workers of CATS received 15 day long intensive emergency medical training (EMT). 45 post graduate and senior resident and qualified doctors underwent microsurgical training in the field of ophthalmology, ENT, reconstructive surgery, gynaecology and surgical vascular repair techniques. 16 post graduate, senior resident and junior faculty underwent training in laparoscopic surgery on human cadavers in the specially created operation theatre in the anatomy department.
