We at Maulana Azad Medical College, along with its associated institutions i.e. the medical college, Lok Nayak Hospital (LNH), G B Pant Institute of PG Medical Education & Research (GIPMER), Guru Nanak Eye Center (GNEC) and Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS), take immense pride in being a part of this eminent institution.
Steeped in glorious history and nurtured by series of stalwart teachers, leaders and benefactors, MAMC has consistently grown in all fields of Medical education, research as well as in clinical care. It is heart warming to note that ‘Maulanians’ have, at the same time, retained their core values and principals that they imbibed during their formative years. Our students have brought us laurels, wherever they have chosen to go and work in the world.
Our policies have been continually evolving to keep pace with the ever changing world of healthcare. The recent pandemic has taught us to be ready for the unexpected; and we discovered, how quickly and efficiently, we could adapt ourselves to match the challenges, that went beyond just medical care.
We work hard to ensure that our students are not only empowered with the best knowledge and skills of medical sciences, but are also masters of the art of healing. They turn out to be not only capable doctors, leaders and policy makers; but are also, compassionate human beings, sensitive to the sufferings of the diseased and the ailing.
From the day they begin their training here, our team of teachers actively guide and mentor them in the truest sense of the Guru Shishya tradition. We endeavour to hold their hand at every step so that they become multifaceted healthcare professionals who exhibit character, integrity, and empathy. This mentorship results in an everlasting life long bond with our alumni wherever they are in the world.
As a humble contributor to this distinguished team, I look forward to continue to support and strengthen these bright young minds and to take MAMC to greater heights.
